Completed annual maintenance on a 2010 Ducane air conditioner. All mechanical components of the system check out at this time. During testing of the unit the technician found the initial amp draw of the compressor to be outside of manufacturers specifications. Technician also found there was no electrical protection device for the outdoor unit. Technician presented options hn1a-e. Customer declined any repair at this time and will readdress the situation come spring.

Concern was the system was not cooling Found bad on hermetic system side Chose bottom option Also I had a concern with system needing of cleaning There is a water valve outside by ac but it is not working The 4 garages in front I believe have the shut off in. Believe it’s the first one. She inquired on cleaning. I explained best if she speaks to the neighbor with the first garage I brought up the benefits of the service contract and a time to schedule with the water access available We do have a water cleaning system but that will have to be scheduled with the contract and it does not clean as well as actual water from city water
Returned with sensor but the sensor I brought would not work to replace the current sensor. Went ahead and ran a combustion test while I was here and found water heater burning off over 1200 ppm of CO. Pool burner assembly and found large amount of buildup and dirt in the burners. This is what’s causing the sensor to trip. Cleaned out burner Assembly and reinstalled. Unit is now burning 22 ppm. All OK at this time.
2009 Maytag gas furnace. Found concern with flame sensing system. Flames going out very intermittently. Tried cleaning it and still have issue. Recommended replacing flame sensing system. Showed options on page hm15. Customer chose hm15a. Completed repair and cycled unit. Unit is very clean on the inside and customer keeps up with filters. Performed combustion analysis. 39 ppm CO/ 8.4% O2/ 399 degree stack temp. All okay at this time.
